Contest Terms and Conditions:

  1. No Purchase necessary. Purchasing through the site will not improve your chance of winning
  2. Entries are accepted beginning at 12:00 a.m. Central Time on the first of the month and ending at 11:59:59 p.m. Central Time on the last day of the month (the “Entry Period”).
  3. The only way to enter the contest is by submitting online at http://www.strangedeals.com. You may enter the contest at any time during the Entry Period.
  4. There is no limit to the number of entries per person
  5. Entrant assigns and transfers to Shop Smart Inc. all right, title, and interest to the entry. Shop Smart Inc. shall have all rights to copy, edit, publish, and use, in whole or in part, the story, and any other intellectual property protected or protectable materials submitted by entrant, in any manner without further compensation during and after the contest period, except where prohibited by law.
  6. Your entry will be accepted and published on the website pending a review by Shop Smart Inc. Shop Smart Inc. reserves the right to deny or remove any entry for any reason during the Entry Period.
  7. Each entry will be ranked by Shop Smart Inc. based upon the popularity of said entry.
  8. The Contest is open to individuals who are 21 years of age or older as of the date of entry, are legal residents of the 50 United States, the District of Columbia, Canada or the European Union as of the time of contest entry and who have an email account as of the time of contest entry. The following promotion is intended for viewing in the 50 United States, the District of Columbia, Canada, ant the European Union (the “Eligibility Area”) only. Do not proceed further in this site or these materials if you are not located in the Eligibility Area.
  9. Contest subject to all federal, state and local laws and regulations. Void in Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands, U.S. military installations in foreign countries, and where prohibited.
  10. Sponsor of this Contest is Shop Smart Inc. Employees of Shop Smart Inc. and their advertising agencies, affiliates, and/or promotional partners and members of their immediate families together with whom such employees are domiciled are not eligible to enter or win.
  11. There will be one winner each month in this contest. Approximate Prize value $100 US Dollars.
  12. Winners will be notified by email. If a winner does not respond within 3 days of the date appearing on the prize notification, or fails to comply with the instructions contained in the prize notification within that time period, the prize will be forfeited and may be awarded to an alternate winner. Return of any prize notification as undeliverable will result in disqualification. Unclaimed prizes may not be awarded. In the event of a dispute concerning the identity of the person submitting an entry online, the entry will be deemed to be submitted by the person in whose name the email account is registered. Winners may be required to provide evidence of identity in connection with claiming the prize.
  13. Entries that are lost, late, misdirected, garbled, incompletely received, mutilated, or illegible, for any reason, including by reason of hardware, software, browser or network failure, malfunction, congestion or incompatibility at Shop Smart Inc. website or elsewhere, will not be eligible and Sponsor is not responsible for any technical problems related to online entries. Proof of sending will not be deemed to be proof of receipt by Shop Smart Inc.. Shop Smart Inc. reserves the right to modify, suspend or terminate this Contest in the event that it becomes infected by a computer virus or is otherwise technically impaired or if the Contest cannot be conducted as planned by causes beyond the control of the Shop Smart Inc..
  14. Income and other taxes, if any, on the value of the prize are the sole responsibility of the winners.
  15. Acceptance of a prize constitutes consent and agreement to use winner’s name, website, story, and likeness for editorial, advertising and publicity purposes, without further compensation during and after the contest period, except where prohibited. By entering and/or by accepting a prize, you agree to release Shop Smart Inc., its affiliates, and their directors, officers, employees and agents from any and all liability arising out of your participation in this Contest with respect to the awarding, receipt, use and/or misuse of any prize, including without limitation, personal injury, death, and property damage, and claims based on publicity rights, defamation, or invasion of privacy.
  16. Winner may be required to sign an affidavit of eligibility, a publicity release (where permitted by law), and/or a liability release, which must be signed and returned within 3 days of the date on the prize notification or prize will be forfeited and an alternate winner may be chosen. By entering and/or by accepting the prize, you agree (where permitted by law) to use of your name and likeness for publicity purposes without further compensation.
  17. No substitution of prize, except by Shop Smart Inc. in which case a prize of greater or equal value will be substituted.
  18. You agree that you shall not upload, post or transmit any materials which contain any computer viruses, hidden code, worms, trojan horses or other harmful component or programming routines that are intended to damage, detrimentally interfere with, surreptitiously intercept or expropriate any system, data or personal information. Shop Smart Inc. reserves the right to disqualify any entrant found tampering with the entry process or with the operation of the Contest or who violates these official rules. Caution: any attempt by an entrant to deliberately damage or undermine the legitimate operation of the Contest may be in violation of criminal and civil laws and will result in disqualification of such entrant. Should such an attempt be made, Shop Smart Inc. reserves the right to seek remedies and damages (including attorney’s fees) from any such participant to the fullest extent of the law, including criminal prosecution.
  19. All entries become the property of Shop Smart Inc. and will not be acknowledged or returned. Shop Smart Inc. is not liable for lost, stolen, misdirected, or late entries.
  20. This Contest is governed by the laws of the United States with venue in Cook County in the State of Illinois. The formation, interpretation and performance of this agreement shall be governed by the laws of the State of Illinois applicable to agreements made and to be performed by Illinois residents entirely within the State of Illinois without regard to its conflicts of law provisions.
  21. By entering, you agree to be bound by these rules. Any and all claims, judgments and awards shall be limited to actual out-of-pocket costs incurred, including costs associated with entering this promotion but in no event attorney’s fees; and entrant hereby waives all rights to claim punitive, incidental, and consequential damages and any other damages, other than for actual out-of-pocket expenses, and any and all rights to have damages multiplied or otherwise increased. Some jurisdictions do not allow the limitations or exclusion of liability for incidental or consequential damages, so the above may not apply to you.
